Refund Policy – Ion Monitor

This Refund Policy forms an integral and legally binding part of the Ion Monitor License Agreement. By purchasing, downloading, installing, accessing, or using Ion Monitor in any manner, you expressly agree to be bound by this Refund Policy.
If you do not agree with any part of this policy, please do not purchase or use the software.
1. General Policy
Ion Monitor is a subscription-based monitoring software. Refunds are provided only in limited circumstances as described below.
Refunds are not issued for change of mind, mistaken purchases, or lack of understanding of software requirements.
Before requesting a refund, users are required to contact Ion Monitor Support and allow reasonable time for troubleshooting and resolution.
2. Refund Eligibility Window
Subject to applicable law and the conditions stated herein:
- Refund requests must be submitted within 14 days of the initial purchase date
- No refund requests will be accepted after 14 days
- Refund eligibility applies only to the first (primary) subscription
- One-time refund only per customer
- After a refund request is submitted, our team may take up to 15 days to review and evaluate the matter. Refunds, if approved, will be processed based on the outcome of this review.
Renewals, re-subscriptions, or additional licenses are non-refundable.
3. Valid Refund Grounds
A refund may be granted only if:
- The software has a technical defect
- The defect directly prevents core functionality as advertised on the Ion Monitor website
- The issue cannot be resolved by Ion Monitor technical support after reasonable efforts
4. Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds will not be issued for reasons including, but not limited to:
User Responsibility & Access
- Lack of full, unrestricted physical access to the target device
- Failure to follow installation instructions
- Failure to disable battery optimisation, task killers, or security restrictions
- Loss of device passwords, screen lock credentials, or encryption keys
- App removal, device reset, factory reset, or OS upgrade
- No or unstable internet connectivity
- Device confiscation, loss, theft, or damage
Device & OS Limitations
- Incompatible devices or unsupported operating systems
- Android or iOS system-level restrictions
- Limitations imposed by OS updates, privacy changes, or API deprecation
- Feature limitations, such as call recording restrictions due to regional laws or OS policies
Personal & External Reasons
- Change of mind
- Accidental or mistaken purchase
- Software not used
- Expectations not aligned with advertised features
- Third-party interference (antivirus, security apps, system cleaners)
5. Feature-Specific Disclaimer
Ion Monitor offers multiple monitoring features.
Certain features (including but not limited to call recording) may be affected by:
- Operating system restrictions
- Manufacturer limitations
- Regional laws and privacy regulations
Such limitations do not constitute a software defect and are not grounds for a refund.
6. Add-On & Support Services
The following services are strictly non-refundable:
- Assisted installation
- Remote setup services
- Priority or phone support
- Any add-on or optional services
Once provided or scheduled, these services are considered final sales.
7. Subscription Renewals & Plan Changes
- Subscription renewals are non-refundable
- Upgrades or downgrades between plans are non-refundable
- Partial usage of a subscription does not qualify for partial refunds
8. Third-Party Purchases
If an Ion Monitor is purchased through a third-party reseller, refund requests must be submitted directly to that reseller.
Ion Monitor is not responsible for third-party billing decisions.
9. Refund Procedure
To request a refund:
- Send an email to billing@ionmonitor.com
- Include:
- Registered email ID
- Order/transaction ID
- Detailed reason for refund
Refund requests via Live Chat or phone will not be accepted.
Refund decisions are typically made within 7–15 business days.
10. Processing Fees
Approved refunds are subject to a processing deduction of up to 20%, which covers:
- Payment gateway fees (Razorpay, Cashfree, PayPal, Stripe)
- Banking charges
- Administrative costs
The remaining amount will be refunded to the original payment method.
11. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes
Initiating a chargeback without contacting Ion Monitor first may result in:
- Immediate suspension of the user account
- Termination of services
- Permanent restriction on future purchases
Any costs incurred due to chargebacks, disputes, or legal processing may be recovered from the user as permitted by law.
12. Legal & Ethical Use
Ion Monitor is intended only for lawful monitoring, such as:
- Parental monitoring of minor children
- Employee monitoring with explicit consent
Installation or use without the knowledge and consent of the device owner is strictly prohibited and will result in:
- Immediate service termination
- No refund eligibility
13. Governing Law
This Refund Policy shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with applicable international laws and regulations, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection laws that may apply.
